THE ZERO

SUSTAINABILITY RESEARCH STRATEGY BRANDING MARKETING

THE ZERO IS A RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN SOUTH WEST LONDON COMPRISING 35 APARTMENTS. IT WAS BUILT WITH THE AIM TO BE ZERO CARBON STATUS AND A-RATED ENERGY EFFICIENCY

BACKGROUND

To create the most beautiful energy-efficient apartment building in the UK. Creating such a building incurred a price premium that agents felt wouldn’t be recouped when it came to selling the apartments. et, our studies showed otherwise.

We'd been following the value of sustainable buildings for years and knew they commanded a premium. We worked together with the developer to shape the overall product and craft the right brand. For branding and marketing, striking the right balance between the carbon-neutral aspect and the living and lifestyle elements of the development was crucial.

Two computer screens displaying website pages about sustainable living. The left screen shows a home's interior with a dining area and kitchen, with the text "Welcome to the home of zero benefits" and "Sustainable lifestyles with zero impact." The right screen shows a landscape with solar panels and wind turbines under a blue sky, with the text "Your future home is the home of the future" and "The future of zero carbon living."

SOLUTION

We devised 'The Zero', which clearly linked to zero carbon and ensured it had a bold and lively feel.

We came up with 'the home of zero benefits', giving us a platform to showcase each of the many sustainable features, while also praising the 'benefits' of the flats and local area as a great place to live. With all flats sold and winning large product of the year at the 2022 Energy Efficient Awards, The Zero is now poised to become the brand for sustainable living in London.
